The Ones Who Ride is a study in contrast Between where we come from and where we feel most free.

Rooted in personal memories and grounded in the living culture of Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club,

the collection explores movement across worlds.  

I grew up across from a horse stable.  

One day before school, I looked out the window and saw the horses running free through the morning fog.  

I thought I was still dreaming.  

I always thought freedom looked like that -open land, quiet, space. But I ended up finding it somewhere else. In the city.  

I found horses again.  Not in fields, but on Fletcher Street.  

Not where I expected but still exactly as they are.

 

This collection is very special to me and has become layered with memories and meaning.
